It is so great for me to get a chance to read more of your writings. As I told you, I thought the “Hair” story touched on themes and emotions that many of us can relate to. Now reading your blog, it made me think about when my husband’s and my family first came together and we found we had such different traditions – even though I married someone from the same ethnic/religious background. As far as the site design, I think it’s attractive and easy to navigate but I have to agree that I wish your name, picture and information about you figured in it more prominently. The first time I visited I wasn’t sure if it was your site. Congratulations, Lisa for doing this.

Your words continue to create a wonderful picture that draws and captures one’s attention. I am struck by the fact that I am a bit annoyed that there is not more copy! We learn, by your exquisite detail, that there is balance and compromise must be pur forth even in the midst of bliss. There are many issue that can be explored; it is my hope that all will be captured and recalled by you in a novel of short stories! Your creativity is compelling.

This is really fnatastic and beautifully laid out! I love it… you just need to have your name and photo somewhere in the beginning so people know who is the negineer behind this great blog!

Am kind of new to blogs, but found this easy to navigate. But I would like to be able to read all of the stories, not just excerpts. A wise woman once told me – “Every marriage is a multi-cultural marriage” because regardless of ethnicity, every family is very different, with its own customs, rituals, etc. These writings – and how much I related to them – really underscore that point.
